The white line is where the National Road traveled along the hillside of now Fulton, from Woodsdale, and Elm Grove. It passed where Samuel McCullough took a 300 foot leep from the Indians and makes its way back down the hill toward the Ohio River. It Goes down what is Main street in Town and now also called State Route 2 ending up at the Suspension Bridge.  The distance from the  Fort to where Samuel took the leep is about 2 miles. The Mingo Indians reached out with the arm of peace. Just 100 yards from where Samuel McCullough leaped is a bronze statue.[ Click here to visit]
