The Heart of Worship Bringing the family together in the program, allowing parents, grandparents to help in the classroom, at the beginning we all gather for praise, and worship in a new and exciting way for children on their level, where they dance in the isles to Jesus like David did!
The Pilot program for the 2010 Vacation Bible School held Aug 3-4-5th at the Dallas Pike Baptist Church in rural Ohio County, just outside of Wheeling, Wv. The program begin's at 6:00 p.m. and runs until 8:00 p.m. There were 21 children of all ages that attended the program. The program's attendance remained the same for the entire 3 day's all the children returned! Unlike other VBS programs which place children of different age groups into small groups the children are placed all together in a classroom setting. The children registered, were given music name tags and gathered in the Sanctcuary. This is the third Vacation Bible School Program authored by Rev. Dan Wheeler. Starting off the program as the children gathered with family into the church sanctuary they were introduced to the songs of the program beginning with the song F.A.I.T.H. a uptempo high energy song where the children learn to praise and worship, raise their hands, clap, dance, incorporating Christian Sign language into the song. To our knowledge this is the First Vacation Bible School program in the world to incorporate into the heart of the program sign language. After a time of singing, and prayer the children then go to the classroom where they begin their study of learning the 10 commandments through music, handcrafting two working biblical musical instruments the David's Harp and the Timbrel. The use of 3 D glasses [which can be purchased] featured hearts, as the children went outside to look all around and place the glasses on they saw multiple hearts everywhere they looked, in the sky, the trees. To stress to the children that they must ask God to listen to their hearts. That worship and music comes from the heart. Experience A very powerful program making the difference....and like all our program is free for your use, giving God all the glory, honor, and praise. First let me say that to teach children about any object or materials I have found that hands on is the best way indeed. In our programs we use my method of STS. Sight, Touch, Sound. By using the senses a child can retain what that learn in relationship to things around them. For example FAITH is hard to teach? Well first we must use a example so we ask the children to write down their fears on a paper and fold it. We then take their fears outside, gather in a circle and burn them. We stress all the time that they must believe that GOD takes their FEARS and consumes them in the fire as they watch them burn. This idea was first introduced by Rev. Dan in the Circle of life Youth Program and has been incorporated into the Master's Call Music Camp. I think the expression on the children's faces tell's it all. We know we live in a scary world, but how about our children, we must stop and realize that their growing minds must be rooted in FAITH in the one who has overcome the WORLD!
We believe that teaching children colors mentioned in the Bible help them in learning. Also it is important in music to relate in numbers. In school numbers play a very important part of learning. In life, numbers play a very important part. So we also believe that numbers are important in life. Children relate numbers in learning so that is why we believe it is important in Scripture. The number 3 plays a important part in our programs.
The scriptures contain the number three more than any other number. The number three is represented also in the evil side in the trinity of wickedness as the world, the flesh, and the devil. The trinity of evil, the dragon, antichrist, and false prophet. We can also find that the number three also deals with God's judgment. When Christ took that judgment of man upon Himself. He hung on one of three crosses during which time the sun was darkened for three hours. As Jonah was three days in the belly of the whale, so was Christ three days in the belly of the earth. Similarly in the Bible, many rituals are carried out in threes, like the daily prayers and yearly fasts. Three is also associated with sacrifices. And he said unto him, take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. Animal sacrifices often had to be three years old. We find in Leviticus 19:23 the the fruit was not to be harvested until three years after the tree was planted. There were three times that the Father's voice bore testimony of His Son. Music Camp 2010 is a all new designed program teaching children the universal language of love [JESUS] using music. Teaching the bible in a new and exciting way. Through music as the children sing new songs they learn scriptures. We have incorporated sign language into the songs so that children can learn basic Christian hand signs like JESUS, PRAISE, FAITH, LOVE, and several more. We believe it is important to teach children how to talk with their hands. The songs for the program are: F.A.I.T.H LOVE NO OTHER NAME ZAMER [theme song] As We Pray Our programs have incorporated such hand sign languages into our programs from the start. We used the game show idea in 2007, in 2008 the top VBS program used the same type theme, Standard Publishing. WOW! Then the Hero Academy in 2008 was lanuched and next year the Hero Headquarter's will be their them VBS, perhaps they will follow and use A Music Camp like this one in 2011? There have been many Chrisitan publishing companies that have seemed to take up on this idea. The Keyboards for Christ Music Ministry will be lanuching a new updated Hero Academy for your use in 2010 also. Over the years we are honored that our ideas may have been used by other's, if so let us all agree that it is for the children and the glory, honor, and praise to our GOD!. Many churches cannot afford hundreds of dollars for materials, and this ministry is titled, Keyboards for CHRIST.....and Jesus gave to us freely......so we will continue to remain in that mission. All our programs are free for your use. Back to the basics ...the Bible.
Scripture is taught in your church sanctuary in song, where they also take part in playing instruments as they learn. There is a "LOVE room" set up where children go and experience through 3 d glasses they put on a new adventure in where real love comes from...the heart. "For God so loved the world that He gave" Love is giving. This also ties into our Hero Academy the quality of a hero is LOVE.
In creating this logo I took several things into consideration. The Heart, the cross, the Name of Jesus. There are three hearts which represent, the Trinity, and many other events from the Bible that are represented by the number 3. The letters MC also represent Masters Call. That children are also called just like disciples for Christ. The dove and the olive branch is to represent that we should go forth throughout the world and share the "Good News" in peace. ZAMAR - zaw-mar - To sing with instruments. To make music accompanied by the voice. One of the musical verbs for praise in the book of psalms. It carries the idea of making music in praise to God as in Psalm 92:1. The word ZAMAR also means to touch the strings, and refers to praise that involves instrumental worship as in Psalm 150. The one word is usually translated "sing praises". |
